Let’s Break This Down—Because You Ain’t Gotta Lie to Kick It
I am sure you have seen this very surprising CBS poll the White House press secretary, mainstream media, and politicians spouting off percentages like they mean something. You hear them on the news, in interviews, throwing around numbers that feel completely disconnected from reality.
It’s like watching a homeless guy’s fever dream play out in real-time. The White House and CBS News just claimed that “most Americans” reacted positively to the President’s speech. Sounds impressive, right? Until you actually look at how they did it.
This isn’t just a flawed poll—it’s a joke. A really bad, really irresponsible joke that tells you more about CBS and the administration’s credibility than it does about public opinion. CBS wants you to believe they conducted a serious national poll. Let’s look at the numbers:
The speech ended after 11 PM Eastern Time on March 4th.
CBS claims the poll was conducted the same night.
That means they supposedly:
Interviewed over 11,000 people in less than 30 minutes.
Filtered that down to 1,207 who actually watched the speech.
Weighted the results by age, gender, race, political affiliation, education, and geography.
Analyzed the data.
Wrote up their findings.
Published it in time for morning news headlines.
That’s not polling. That’s speed-running propaganda.
There is zero chance that any legitimate public opinion poll could be conducted, analyzed, and reported this fast. Zero. If you actually believe they did all of this accurately overnight, I have a fantastic business opportunity to sell you.
Also, wow—somehow they “interviewed” over 11,000 people within the 30 minutes left of March 4th to make this poll.
This is the survey equivalent of buying dentures off Temu based on the one four-star review written in Chinese.
2. They Didn’t Poll “Americans”—They Polled Speech Watchers
The White House and CBS framed this poll as if it represents all Americans, when in reality:
It only included people who watched the speech (already a biased group).
It was overwhelmingly Republican-heavy, making it even less representative of the general population.
It was a self-selected online poll, meaning only people who cared enough to participate did.
But instead of saying,
"51% of the people we interviewed were Republicans, and this only reflects those who watched the speech,"
they ran with:
“Most Americans approved of the speech.”
See what they did there? That’s not an accident—that’s intentional manipulation.
3. It’s Classic Perception Management
The White House and CBS aren’t measuring opinion, they’re distorting it.
Let’s break down the actual numbers:
11,406 people = 0.0034% of the U.S. population.
1,207 people = 0.00036% of the U.S. population.
That’s it. That’s the whole sample.
They might as well have surveyed a single Buc-ee’s gas station at 2 AM and called it a national consensus.
This isn’t a mistake. It’s manufactured reality.
The Point of Propaganda: Make You Think Something Is More Popular Than It Is
Propaganda isn’t just government officials in military uniforms making dramatic speeches. It’s anything deliberately manipulated to shape public perception—and that’s exactly what this is.
By claiming that “most Americans” reacted positively to the speech, this poll isn’t just reporting data—it’s manufacturing public opinion.
Here’s how that works:
If you didn’t watch the speech but see this poll, you might think, “Wow, I guess most people liked it. Maybe I should too.”
If you did watch the speech and thought it was bad, you might second-guess yourself.
If you’re in the media, you now feel pressured to frame coverage more favorably because “the public liked it.”
See how that works?
4. It’s Being Used to Push a Narrative
Propaganda is about controlling the story, and this poll serves a clear purpose:
If the White House had real, broad-based approval, they wouldn’t need a skewed poll to prove it.
If CBS was doing actual journalism, they wouldn’t push a poll with this many flaws.
The goal isn’t to inform, it’s to persuade—to make you think the speech was a success, whether it was or not.
If you want to see what propaganda looks like in 2025, it’s not just government press releases—it’s polls like this being presented as fact.
Final Verdict: Yes, This Is Propaganda
This poll doesn’t show what America thinks. It shows what a tiny, self-selected group of engaged viewers thought immediately after watching, with no time to reflect. That’s not public opinion—it’s perception management. CBS and other media outlets should know better than to push something this flawed without questioning it. Journalism is supposed to challenge narratives, not rubber-stamp them.
And the White House? This administration prides itself on authenticity. If they’re serious about that, they shouldn’t be pushing numbers that misrepresent reality—intentionally or not. Stuff like this erodes trust in institutions, and worse, it gives fuel to conspiracy theories. Like the entire government being a large group of loyalists burning the constitution and destabilizing democracy. That would be crazy.
No one wants to think their government is spreading propaganda to cover up something bigger, but when data gets massaged like this, it’s easy to see why people start asking questions.
Be better than this. Respect people enough to give them the truth. Because if you don’t trust the public with reality, its kind of hard for the public trust you. Ya know? Why would the truth be so difficult to report? It’s not like the White House has to spin fake numbers for no reason. Why would they do that?
**Full disclosure i used goblin tools to organize this chaotic brain dump so dont judge me if it doesnt make sense.

This is why I haven't read or listened to ANY MSM for almost two years. I knew as soon as I read the chart that it was "fake news". Someone needs to let them know "we see you" and refuse to give them any space in our lives. Truth is the last thing they want to invest in.
Don’t make fun of Fox News polling techniques! 🤣🤣
